What are we trying to achieve?

Are we achieving our objectives?

Surrey Heath remains one of the safest places to live in the country - but fear of crime is still an issue. For this reason, community reassurance remains a top priority for the Partnership - along with quality of life issues such as fly tipping, graffiti and dog fouling.

Areas of concern highlighted in our 2007 analysis of crime and disorder levels in Surrey Heath, and in our 2007 Community Safety Survey, were:

  • Alcohol related crime in Camberley town centre
  • Theft of vehicles, particular in the summer
  • Domestic burglary by 'out of town' offenders
  • Drug dealers coming into Surrey Heath
  • Traffic-related and road safety issues

During 2008/09 we worked together with our partners and communities to achieve the targets and objectives set out in our Partnership Plan.
